Training and Experience
Dr. Nixon knew she wanted to be a veterinarian when she was very young. That goal led her through veterinary school, specialty rehabilitation work and advanced certifications in several areas of care.
Her training allows her to look at the whole pet: comfort, movement, joints, muscles, pain, daily function and long-term quality of life.
Dr. Nixon earned her veterinary degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
She pursued additional training in rehabilitation, massage, acupuncture, spinal manipulation and arthritis case management.
Dr. Nixon has a special interest in helping active dogs build strength, confidence and conditioning safely.
